Morning has broken

Morning has broken

Easter Saturday morning, on the road between Tocumwal and Barooga, up on the Murray River.

Love was in the air for this pair of sulphur crested cockatoos, and possibly a little bit of reassurance that all their feathers were intact after one of the boy’s golf balls disturbed the branches in which they were perched.

There’s something for everyone in this hallowe’en mask display, a celebration that has made it across the shores to Australia.  When my boys want to go trick or treating I ask them which State of America they think they’re living in and if they can tell me how the tradition started… far they haven’t come up with the right answers for me to change my stance on the issue.

Footy season is over for another year, this is my creative attempt to sum up the year that saw one boy play in his first season and the other one finish his last year of Auskick, ready to play with the big kids next year.
